imageThe Grand Junction Police Department is looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a hit and run crash at the intersection of 12 St. and North Ave.

At approximately 5:45pm on Wednesday, October 23, and 18-year-old woman was at the southeast corner of the intersection.  When the “walk” signal activated for her, she began crossing northbound on North Ave.  While she was in the crosswalk, a driver that was turning from 12th St onto eastbound North Ave. hit the woman’s foot and spun her around.  The woman was treated at the hospital and released.

The woman described the vehicle that hit her as a dark colored SUV with tinted windows.  The driver did not stop, and we have been unable to locate that person.

We are hoping someone witnessed this incident and will provide us with their information by calling 970-242-6707.
