34-year-old Christopher Allen Jompp was arrested and charged with second degree assault and 22-year-old Christina Marie Padilla was arrested and charged with robbery.
Investigators got a break in this case when they were able to track down a person who was was in possession of the victim’s mobile phone this week. From there they began interviewing people until they were finally able to identify Jompp and Padilla as suspects.
At this point in the investigation we believe Hage and Jompp were acquaintances, and were in a car with Padilla and another woman. The group drove around for a while, and then Hage parked the car on the side of the road. While stopped, Jompp began beating Hage in the head with his fists, knocking him unconscious. A witness said Hage fell out of the car while he was being beaten and Padilla then got out of the car and began taking money and other items out of his pockets. Jompp and Padilla then got back in the car and left Hage on the side of the road. A passerby eventually spotted him and called 911.
Hage remains hospitalized with severe injuries to his head.
Booking photos of the two suspects are not being released at this time.
