The Grand Junction Police Department will join our fellow Mesa County emergency responders in participating in a large-scale training exercise involving multiple state and federal agencies.  This exercise will take place in and around Grand Junction on April 1-3, and is part of a national drill that will test emergency response across the country.

During this time you can expect to see a large number of vehicles and personnel in our community that are not typically present on a day-to-day basis.

The Mesa County Joint Information Center (JIC) will be testing its procedures during the drill, and as a result, you are invited to follow along during the drill by visiting http://www.mesacountyjic.com. You can choose to receive email alerts when new information is posted by signing up to follow the blog.  Simply enter your email address in the white box on the right side of the page.

More details about the training exercise are also currently posted on the JIC site.
