On Saturday, September 13 at approximately 2:00 a.m., a man called 911 to report a male lying on the sidewalk in the Downtown portion of Main St.  The male, 33-year-old Zachery Lane of Grand Junction, was unconscious and bleeding.  Mr. Lane is currently at St. Mary’s Hospital in critical condition.

The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating, but unfortunately there is very little information to go on at this point.  We do not know at this time if a crime was committed or if his injuries are accidental, and are asking for the public’s help with this case.  If you have any information about Mr. Lane’s whereabouts on Friday night leading into Saturday  morning, or if you have any information about how he may have been injured, please contact Detective Michael Struwe at 970-549-5250.  You can also provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 970-241-7867 or going online at www.241STOP.com.
