Employee Says Man Pushed Past Her While Stealing Items- GJPD Investigating #GVCopBeat

Walgreens suspect 091914The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating an incident that happened just before 10:00 p.m. last night at the Walgreens store at 29 Rd. and North Ave.  An employee told officers she saw the man was trying to leave the store with items concealed under his shirt.  She said she stepped in front of the door to block him, and told him that he needed to pay for the items.  The man pushed past her and left the store with the items.  He was last seen heading eastbound on foot into the Rose Park mobile home community on North Ave.

The man is described as being black or Hispanic, approximately six feet tall, and weighing about 170 pounds.  We’ve included a photo of the suspect from surveillance video in this blog post.
