Update at 3:15 p.m.

All lanes of Patterson Rd north of Mesa Mall are back open and traffic is flowing again.

Grand Junction Police Officers will be temporarily closing the eastbound lanes of Patterson Rd. north of Mesa Mall near Petsmart for further investigation of the crash that happened this morning. The officers will be mapping the scene, which could take a couple of hours to complete.  This is the result of updated condition information for one of the people transported to the hospital. Doctors determined that person’s condition constituted serious bodily injury.

Please avoid the area for now if possible. We will update this blog when the lanes of Patterson have reopened.

    I appreciate you posting news releases on your Facebook/web page, but it would be helpful if you would include the DATE and time at the beginning of each post and update. Time is usually there, but I can’t find dates, so it’s hard to know when these stories or wrecks actually happened. Thanks!
