Monument Section of the Riverfront Trail Closed Due to High Water #GVCopBeat

Posted on Updated on

The section of the Riverfront Trail that runs under the Redlands Parkway Bridge has been closed due to high water in the area. The closed area will be marked by signs and will remain closed until further notice. Please plan accordingly if you use this section of the trail.

Curious about the section of that trail that starts around Walter Walker State Wildlife Area off of Railroad Ave (the newer parking spot) and goes west toward Fruita. The trail is much higher and close to I-70…is that open or did sections of that also succumb to the rising water?
