The Grand Junction Police Department is asking Grand Junction residents to participate in a brief survey to help us gauge the community’s feelings about police service in our city. The Police Department has teamed up with Colorado Mesa University students in the Department of Business, who will conduct the survey.
“Although our employees work very hard to provide the best police service possible, it’s important that we periodically survey our community to be sure that is their perception as well,” said Police Chief, John Camper.
The Grand Junction Police Department will use the information to help us determine if we need to make changes in how we operate and to help us plan for future law enforcement needs.
Chief Camper adds, “This survey will also allow us to make sure that we are prioritizing our activities in a way that reflects the needs and desires of our citizens.”
The Colorado Mesa University students will administer the survey. The link above will allow you to take the survey online. Students will also be at various public places and events, asking residents who may not have access to the online version to fill out a paper version of the survey.
Those conducting the survey WILL NOT BE MAKING PHONE CALLS. If you receive a phone call from anyone indicating they are conducting a survey on our behalf, it is not legitimate and do not provide them with any information.
