RENFROOn Friday, July 17, the Grand Junction Police Department arrested Kevin DeWayne Renfro, 35, on charges of sexual exploitation of a child, human trafficking of juveniles, and child prostitution.

The Grand Junction Police Department received information from a 17 year old female that she was approached by Renfro in the 1200 Block of North Avenue, where he offered to pay her in exchange for photographs of her for a website that he operates.  He later transported the female to another location in the City where he provided the victim with a schedule III/IV narcotic and proceeded to take numerous nude photographs of her.  Renfro also attempted to solicit the victim to perform sexual acts on another individual in exchange for money.

Kevin Renfro was contacted in the area of the 2400 Block of Hwy 6 and 50 where he was taken into custody and booked into the Mesa County Jail on charges of human trafficking of juveniles, pandering to a child, inducement of child prostitution, soliciting for child prostitution, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and distribution of a schedule III/IV controlled substance to a minor.

If you or someone you know has been contacted by Kevin Renfro under similar circumstances, we ask that you please contact Detective Julie Stogsdill at (970)549-5231.

I am the G-father of one of the victims. I live far away in another state. I ask the judicial system to punish this pervert to the fullest extent possible…or allow me to visit him unaccompanied…either way will work. Recidivism rate for these monsters is 100%. NEVER allow this pig to hurt another child.

I saw the website and just want to know 1. When will it be taken down and 2. If any adult that allowed their child to be photographed and put on that web site will be charged? I pray that the answer to both of those questions will be a YES

I have heard that in many cases the authorities will allow a site to continue to sting other offenders…albeit it with protection and consent of the victim. On 1 hand I find this disturbing but from a Law Enforcement view point it can be a good and sometimes only tool to track offenders. I do hope that at some point they follow the trail to the monsters that hurt these children and give them their day in court. Here in Arkansas I guess we follow God’s justice and take care of problem often before the law catches up. We are a gun friendly state with strong moral values.
