AT&T Customers May Be Unable to Call 9-1-1 From Their Wireless Phones #ShareGJ

Posted on

911The Grand Junction Regional Communication Center has been made aware that, due to an issue with the service provider, AT&T wireless customers may currently be unable to call 9-1-1 from their wireless phones.  This is an issue affecting our area, as well as call centers on the Front Range, and in other states.  While we are not able to speak to the cause of the problem, we do want the community to be aware of it.  If you are an AT&T customer, please call the main GJRCC line to reach public safety personnel in the event of an emergency, which is (970)242-6707.  As we are made aware of any updates to this issue, we will share them here.  Please share this information with anyone who may be impacted by this outage.  Thank you!
