1st Degree Assault

Two males were walking on 28 Rd near the old Kmart at approximately 0145 hrs. when a gold Chevy Tahoe or Suburban pulled up next to them.  A verbal altercation ensued followed by the two males in the vehicle exiting and attacking the other males.  Both of the males that were walking sustain multiple stab wounds. The victim’s were transported to St. Mary’s with what appeared to be serious but non life threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males in their twenties.  The gold Tahoe or Suburban had a temporary Colorado registration and fled the scene north on 28 Rd and was last seen eastbound on Orchard.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call 911 dispatch or if you wish to remain anonymous call Mesa County Crime Stoppers.

    So, wouldn’t Police have access to a data base of Temporary licenses? Then do a search for vehicles in the gold or tan color that are on the heavier SUV’s?? I’d say for Denver area too.
