Robbery Suspect Arrested #GVCopBeat

GRIFFINAn arrest has been made in the robbery of the Rite Aid Store on the corner of 1st Street and Grand Avenue, which took place on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department have arrested 36-year-old Robert Griffin, for charges of Robbery (F3), Felony Menacing (F5), Unlawfully Carrying a Concealed Weapon (M2), Driving with a Restrained License, Displaying Fictitious License Plates, and Violation of Bail Bond Conditions (M3).

After photos of the suspect captured from the security cameras inside the business were released, an officer with the GJPD recognized Griffin from a recent DUI arrest. Officers contacted Griffin in the 1300 Block of E. Sherwood Avenue this afternoon and arrested him without incident.
