Local Law Enforcement Investigating Recent String of Vehicle Vandalisms #GVCopBeat

GJPD badge CLEANMesa County SheriffOver the last several days, the Grand Junction Police Department and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office have received several reports of vehicles being vandalized by what appears to be shots from a BB gun. We’ve received numerous reports involving dozens of vehicles being damaged, ranging from vehicle body damage to broken windows. These incidents have happened in locations all over Mesa County.

Please be sure to call non-emergency dispatch at (970)242-6707 if you believe you might be a victim in one of these incidents. An officer or deputy will contact you as soon as possible to take your report. Further, be vigilant in your neighborhoods. If you see or hear anything suspicious, call 911. Make a mental note of any suspicious vehicles in your neighborhood. Leave porch lights on and, if you park on the street, try to park in a well-lit area.
