Street crews have cleared the debris from Monument Rd near Mariposa Dr and the road is now open again.  Please remember to use caution when driving on roads that have been flooded and continue to watch for debris on the streets.  Street crews are working hard throughout the city to make sure the roads are safe for drivers and to clean up messes caused by the storm.

Monument Rd is closed between Mariposa and S. Glade Park Rd at the moment due to mud, rocks, and logs that have washed onto the road.  City crews have been paged out to clear the debris.  Drivers need to find an alternate route.  We will update when we have more information.

IMG_0509We are responding to reports of street flooding and debris in the roadways both in and around the city.  Drivers need to go slow and be watchful for items that have washed into the roads.

Some of the areas being impacted are:

  • Monument Rd near Mariposa
  • Broadway near 18 Rd
  • Various intersections throughout the city

We are in the process of working with School District 51 and the school bus company to make sure they are aware of the situation. We’ll post more information as we get it.
